Well, after a nice long walk (part of the way in the wrong direction! oops!) we finally made it to the planting site, just south of Kelly School on the Springwater Corridor Trail. All students did an incredible job and planted over 300 plants - all native species to Oregon. I was so impressed by the hard work everyone put in, despite the fact that it was very cold out! What a great way to get out of the classroom, learn about environmental science, AND give back to our community! Special thanks to Mrs. Mendez for chaperoning the trip!
